Penunjuk Perasaan

In literal terms, the title of our Summer/Monsoon 2025 collection
translates to “someone who shows their feelings”: penunjuk from
the root word tunjuk (to show), and perasaan from the root word rasa
(taste, feeling, emotion, sensation).

In Malaysia, it is also used as a term to refer to protestors or public demonstrators.

Crafts at INKAA

At INKAA, we work with four types of craftworks, all of which are being practised across the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia: batik print-making, batik block-making, mengkuang-weaving, and brassware-making.

A large part of our collection iss built around the wax-resistance method of batik printing. This was the primary method used in the printing of patterns on fabrics.

As for our bags and accessories, we work with artisans specialising in mengkuang-weaving and brassware-making. The tote bags in our collection are meticulously woven by hand using mengkuang leaves; and our accessories and other embellishments have are handcrafted with brass using the lost-wax method.
